We've been looking for a good source for whole walnuts and finally found one! These are big, beautiful English walnuts you'll want to share with your birds.
Very large birds like macaws can get through the shells themselves. Smaller birds will need help getting them started (partially crack them), or give them a half-walnut they can dig the nut out of. The fun part is that it will take them a while to eat and provide plenty of exercise and stimulation, as well as being a healthy treat.
Due to the fat content of nuts we recommend limiting them to one or so per day depending on the size of the bird. Let us know if you have questions.
A quart of walnuts is approximately 1lb, a gallon will be 3.4lbs.
